After our quick 5 hour flight from the west coast, we pick up our rental car and drive across the island of Maui, heading toward the Grand Wailea. Yet, at our destination, the gate opens slowly and we pass through into a manicured paradise. We take a left turn, park, and walk into the open air reception area. “Aloha Weary Traveler. Allow me to present you with this fragrant lei and welcome you back.” The Hawaiian word “Ho’olei” translates to “bestowing a lei,” a gesture of honor and respect. Our weariness quickly drops away. Our personal concierge checks us in, sets up golf tee times on all 3 award winning Wailea courses, confirms our dinner reservation for this evening, and suggests a stand up paddle lesson for tomorrow morning. Life is good. Wait a minute….where are we? A hotel? A condo? A home? Actually, Ho’olei is a mighty smashup of all of these options – and as an owner, you make it just what you want. This luxury community, built in 2007 and 2008, features spacious two-story condo/homes, clustered in groups of six. Each unit has an ocean and sunset view. A single car garage and your personal elevator eliminates any stress – and there is more covered parking for your unit on the mauka (mountain) side of the street. There are 3 floor plans to choose from: The Hibiscus (units 1 & 6) consists of 4305 sq. ft., The Maile (units 2 & 5) 3464 sq. ft., and The Plumeria (units 3 & 4) have 3776 sq ft. Balconies are positioned for maximum privacy. (Email Nancy for the floor plans) Located directly across the street from the Grand Wailea and the Four Seasons Hotels, owners and guests have easy access to any of the 5 Wailea Beaches. A complimentary shuttle will deliver you and pick you up at your request. Ho’olei has a special relationship with the Grand Wailea Hotel. Owners have the option of membership in The Kulana Club at the Grand Wailea. Email me for a list of all this includes. A daily visit to the Terme at the spa – I’m sold! Discounts on a divine massage – count me in…Camp Grande for my keike (children) – Mahalo! Everyone loves this place. Did I mention automatic Hilton HHonors Gold VIP status… Owners also have the option of placing their unit in the Grand Wailea Rental and Management Program. Block off your time and turn things over to be managed and maintained. The rental rate for your unit will be determined by the management of Ho’olei at Grand Wailea.
