On October 17th at The Grand Wailea Resort & Spa, 200+ guests attended the biannual “Growing Dreams” event which benefited Malama Family Recovery Center. This year’s theme was “Holidays in Paradise,” and noted floral designer Gerard Toh AIFD dazzled guests with his stunning holiday themed arrangements and creations. Live Auction items included packages/stays on Maui, the coast of Oregon and New Zealand. It was a well attended and successful event with everyone participating and helping support a great cause.
Malama Family Recovery Center provides caring, holistic substance abuse/addiction treatment to women and children so families can live safe, independent lives. It is the only women-specific treatment center on Maui and the ONLY place where children can live with their mothers during the recovery process. Funds raised for this event supports the BabySAFE Program which is treatment and prenatal services so they can give birth to healthy babies, providing childcare and developmental screenings and covers transportation costs to and from treatment.
