Breakfast on Maui? Yes, please!
There are so many choices on best places to eat breakfast on Maui. Sometimes it can be overwhelming to choose, but mostly it is fun! Whether you want a “quick on the go breakfast” or a “sit down and enjoy the view while eating, no rush” meal… Maui has a variety of places to meet your desires. I asked some of our agents for their recommendations and here’s what they said:
I love going to Nalu’s in Azekas, breakfast til 2:30 every day ! This is my go to spot after surfing at cove park ! Try the Small Kine or if you want a real treat try the corn flake crusted stuffed French toast . The open air restaurant has great service and staff too. – Alana Rucynski, R(S)
I love Donut Dynamite! The owners are a young couple full of refreshing energy and bright ideas. Her special treats were originally available only at street fairs and swap meets, but she’s been in a brick and mortar for over a year now…. They’ve got the most special artisan donuts (see photo above) made from scratch daily. Call in advance to place and order for a special occasion or birthday. My favorites are the s’mores and the taro varieties. Located in Central Maui on Lower Main, this place is “the real deal” and you WILL NOT be disappointed. Support small business, support Maui. – Erica Anderson, R(S)
My favorite breakfast for special occasions is the Duo breakfast buffet in Wailea. They have the best of everything! On the go I like the deli at Hawaiian Moons– I usually get a green juice or acai bowl. For coffee I always go to Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf at the Shops at Wailea or in town Wailuku Coffee Co. If you ever go to Home Depot order the Sunkist Frappe iced at Akamai Coffee. You will not be disappointed!!!:) – Kristen Goo, R(S)
Sarento’s on the Beach for breakfast can’t be beat, for their Eggs Benedict and Huevos Rancheros and of course, the view. Not only do you enjoy direct ocean front dining with views of one of the most beautiful and versatile beaches in south Maui, Keawakapu Beach, Sarento’s special fontina hollandaise sauce is exquisite and their Huevos Rancheros are the best we’ve ever had. – Pamela Bushnell, R(S)
Nalu’s. They have a little something for every palette and each dish is done very well. They have acai, pitaya and fruit bowls for those who prefer to eat light and healthy. Small, medium and large kine breakfasts, pancakes (traditional or macnut), corn flake crusted french toast and omlettes for the traditionalists and for those of us that believe breakfast is best when it tastes like brunch, they have ahi benedict (my favorite), traditional and veggie loco moco and anothr mist try – fried chicken and waffles with bacon and sage maple syrup. And the best part, they serve breakfast until 2:30 pm for those late risers or early risers that prefer to eat breakfast after a few hours playing in the waves. Oh and kombucha on tap! – Tania Harmon R(S)
