Gluten Free “GF” dining has become recognized as health necessity for those afflicted with Celiac Disease and there is also a growing population that feels eating Gluten Free has improved their overall wellbeing and are GF by Choice. (Take note, I will interchangeably use Gluten Free and GF on this posts).
With that in mind I have reached out to several of my GF Maui peeps that I know, 2 of them are GF by choice and 1 of them is GF by necessity as she is Celiac. I asked for their favorite “Go To” Gluten Free meals in South Maui. Since I live with one of my sources I understand the challenges associated with finding a good GF meal at a restaurant that rest of the non GF family can also enjoy. I hope you enjoy the choices we have come up with. Thanks to Lori (my Wife), Kristina & Janet for providing these great options.
Lori (GF by Choice)

Pita Paradise, Catch of the day; The chef at Pita Paradise regularly goes out and catches his own fish… Pretty Cool!
Sorrento’s on the Beach – Rack of Lamb
Ko’s Maui in the Fairmont Kea Lani – Fish Special
Manoli’s Pizza Co. Maui – Gluten Free “trainer” pizza. They also have Omission GF Beer, gotta love that ‘cause it is hard to have pizza without a cold beer…
Fabianis – Gluten Free “Wailea” or “Gateway” pizza. They also great coconut macaroons for dessert.

Tommy Bahamas Maui – Guava glazed baby back ribs.
Tommy Bahamas Maui – Blackened fish tacos.
Tommy Bahamas Maui – Ahi Poke Napoleon.
Bistro Casanova -Bigoli Neri Al Salmone (gluten free pasta) with smoked salmon sautéed in a white wine sauce with peas, leeks and tobiko.
Pita Paradise – Lamb Pasta ( gluten free pasta)
So I have had several of these entrees and they are all really good… Gluten Free or not. I should mention all of the above restaurants are very good at catering to Gluten Free customers. They understand the dynamics of providing viable GF options across their menu. If you are on the West Side, check out CJ’s. They actually have a Gluten Free Menu which is appreciated by Gluten Free Customers.
Feel free to chime in with your favorites as well…. we would love to know what you find, that you like. I am sure there are some other great options. Write in the comment section the GF restaurants you prefer on Maui (including what special meal) and we will add some of your favorites on this post.
